Frequently asked questions

What is the LeadMind plugin?
A Claude Code plugin that installs the LeadMind MCP server and four prospecting skills. The same server and matching slash commands ship as a Gemini CLI extension.
Does it work in Claude on the web or the desktop app?
There, add LeadMind as a custom connector with the same MCP server URL; the setup guide has the steps. The plugin, with its skills, is for Claude Code.
Does it work with Gemini CLI?
Yes. Install the LeadMind extension, run /mcp auth leadmind once, then use /leadmind:lead-list, /leadmind:verify-emails, /leadmind:shortlist and /leadmind:market-scan, or just ask.
What about ChatGPT or other agents?
ChatGPT connects to the LeadMind MCP server directly in developer mode. Any other agent that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP can use the same URL, with OAuth or an API key.
How is the plugin different from connecting the MCP server?
The MCP server gives the agent tools. The skills add the workflow: how to turn a brief into a good prompt, when to use a bulk verification job, how to rank leads, and what never to claim. You get consistent results without writing that guidance yourself.
Do I need an API key?
No. Sign in with OAuth the first time the agent uses LeadMind. For CI or headless runs, add the MCP server with an API key header instead.
How much context does it use?
About 500 tokens are always loaded (the skill descriptions). A skill’s full instructions, under 1,000 tokens each, load only when it is used.
Does it send emails or messages?
No. LeadMind finds, verifies and scores leads. Any openers the agent writes are drafts for you to send from your own tools.
