    If the location is ambiguous the job asks one question. Credits are held up to your balance or the budget you name.

Frequently asked questions

What is an MCP server?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to tools. LeadMind’s MCP server gives your assistant eleven tools, from starting a live lead job to verifying emails, and the assistant decides when to call them during the conversation.
Which assistants can use it?
Claude on the web, desktop and Claude Code; ChatGPT in developer mode; Gemini CLI; Groq’s remote MCP tool; n8n’s MCP Client Tool node; and any client that supports Streamable HTTP with OAuth or a bearer API key.
Do I need an API key?
Not for assistants that support OAuth: you sign in to LeadMind once and approve access. Headless tools, CI and n8n use an API key from Settings instead, and every key has its own daily credit cap.
What does it cost?
The same as the dashboard: one credit per delivered lead, held when the job starts and charged only for leads that arrive. Email verification uses a monthly quota on paid plans, not credits. New accounts get 25 free credits.
Can the assistant overspend?
No. A job never holds more than your balance or the budget you give the assistant, each key has a daily cap you set, and failed jobs, duplicates and filtered rows are never charged.
Does LeadMind see my conversation?
No. The assistant sends only the arguments of each tool call, such as the prospecting prompt or a job id. Your chat history and the assistant’s memory never reach LeadMind.
How is this different from the plugin?
The plugin packages this same MCP server with four prospecting skills for Claude Code and Gemini CLI, so the terminal agent already knows how to brief a job, verify a list or shortlist leads.
