Live lead sourcing from public business data

Every LeadMind job collects its leads at the moment you run it, from public business sources: map listings, business directories and each company’s own website. Nothing comes from a list bought or stored in advance.

Public LinkedIn pages are used only to fill gaps for person leads, and only where that source is switched on. The privacy policy lists every processor involved.

How a source is chosen

Each enabled source is scored against your request on coverage (does it hold this kind of business?), geographic strength, data quality, recent reliability and cost. The best one runs and the job page shows the scoring table, so you can see why Google Maps beat the directory and what the job cost. If a source fails, its hold is released; see the refund policy.

What the website crawler checks

After the scrape, LeadMind’s own crawler, LeadMindBot, reads a handful of public pages on each lead’s site and records facts with the URL they came from:

  • public email addresses and phone numbers, including numbers written in Arabic-Indic digits;
  • WhatsApp, Telegram and other social links;
  • online booking, live chat, contact forms and an online store;
  • the platform the site runs on (Shopify, WordPress, Wix, Salla, Zid and others), analytics and a Meta pixel;
  • careers or hiring pages, multiple locations and signs of an outdated site.

These are what make prompts like “with WhatsApp and no online booking” filterable. A lead that fails a filter is dropped before delivery and never charged.

Limits worth knowing

  • Coverage follows the public footprint. A business with no listing and no website will not appear.
  • Listings can be out of date; the crawler catches some of that (a dead website, a changed phone), not all of it.
  • Emails are only as good as what a business publishes. Paid plans verify every lead email; see the email verifier.

Frequently asked questions

Is the data scraped live or from a database?
Live. Each job scrapes its source when you run it, so a row is as current as the public listing at that moment. LeadMind keeps what it delivered to you (encrypted) and a hash for deduplication, not a standing database of businesses to resell.
Which sources does LeadMind use?
Google Maps listings for local businesses worldwide, the Yellow Pages directory for the United States and Canada, the Zillow agent directory for US real estate prompts, and each lead’s own website through LeadMind’s crawler. Public LinkedIn pages are used only to fill gaps and only where that source is enabled.
Does the crawler respect robots.txt?
Yes. LeadMindBot identifies itself, obeys robots.txt including Crawl-delay, reads at most six pages per site, never logs in and never bypasses a CAPTCHA or paywall. Site owners can block it with two lines of robots.txt.
Why did a lead come back without an email?
Many small businesses publish only a phone number or a contact form. LeadMind reports what is public. Ask for “with email” or “with verified email” in the prompt and leads without one are filtered out and not charged.
