Use LeadMind in ChatGPT

Before you start

ChatGPT on the web with a plan that includes developer mode (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu, per OpenAI’s help center). Workspace admins control it under the workspace’s permissions settings.
A LeadMind account. Free to start with 25 credits. For the custom GPT route you also need an API key from Settings.

Option 1: developer mode (MCP, OAuth)

Open Settings from your profile menu, go to Apps (Apps & Connectors on some accounts), open Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
Choose Create to add an app. Name it LeadMind, paste the MCP server URL below and pick OAuth as the authentication.
Sign in to LeadMind in the window that opens and approve access.
In a new chat, turn on LeadMind from the composer’s tools menu and ask for leads.

The server speaks Streamable HTTP and registers ChatGPT as an OAuth client automatically, so no client ID or secret is needed.

Option 2: a custom GPT with Actions

In the GPT editor, open Configure → Actions → Create new action and use Import from URL with the schema below. It has one operation per LeadMind tool, named like the tools.
Set Authentication to API Key, auth type Bearer, and paste a LeadMind key. Give the key its own daily credit cap in Settings, since everyone using the GPT spends from it.
Add an instruction such as “Use LeadMind for any request for business leads; poll the job until it is delivered.”

Testing a GPT before sharing it? A sandbox key (lp_test_…) returns fixture data and spends no credits.

Troubleshooting

No Developer mode toggle. Your plan or workspace does not allow it yet; on Business, Enterprise and Edu ask an admin to enable it.
Importing the schema. Use the agent schema above rather than the full REST description at /v1/openapi.json: it is written for GPTs, with one operation per tool.
Actions return 401. The key was revoked or mistyped; create a new one in Settings. Keys are shown once.
Results look like sample data. The GPT is using a sandbox lp_test_ key; switch to a live key.
